|Local Italians run this Noe Valley Italian restaurant with high ceilings, bright walls, evening candlelight, and Italian-speaking wait staff. They have tooled around a bit with their espresso -- moving from Lavazza's Super Crema blend to Danesi and from ACF Miscela d'Oro cups to Danesi cups. Using a two-group Futurema (serviced by Art of Espresso), they serve espresso with a medium-to-dark brown crema with an occasional touch of a lighter brown spot for the pour (it's not a very rich crema and it sometimes can run thin). Served short in Danesi logo cups, it has a creamy flavor that's somewhat mild and low in acidity - unlike their prior smoky Lavazza espresso. While they may have cycled through providers over the years, this is still some of the better restaurant espresso out there.
