|The old school waiters here give this Italian restaurant a level of class that's hard to find in this restaurant-laden city. You expect something typically touristy and mediocre given the name, but this is a pretty good restaurant. I've sat behind then-Mayor Willie Brown over a meal here before, and in front they have the largest bottle of Nonino Picolit grappa I have seen in my life (it easy must cost thousands of dollars) - so it's no dump. But if only the espresso were that good. Inside this spacious place, they pull espresso shots from a two-group Elektra Maxi at the bar. The resulting cup is served with a lemon wedge (why?!), a thin medium brown crema, and with a bit of grit at the bottom. It has a peppery flavor with a slight bitter edge to it.
