|Serving good Provence cuisine, this corner restaurant embodies much of what's wrong with restaurant espresso. Using a two-group La Caramali, this expensive shot is watery looking with fast-fading specks of crema along the top. It has an ashy odor and a watery ash flavor with some tobacco. However, it's too watered down to be overtly bitter. The gall of a place like this charging $3 for these results is insulting - especially with Ritual Roasters just a couple blocks away. Servied with a powdery grit at the bottom of their IKEA Bangladesh cups.
