|The owners of the long-standing Bizou bistro have recently switched to this hipster upgrade. In fact, you'll walk in the place and immediately notice the low lighting, louder atmosphere, and a crowd that somehow spilled over from the Castro. The new restaurant is very good, with an emphasis on seasonal and organic ingredients. Unfortunately, their coffee didn't get any attention in the face lift. They still use a two-group Elektra at bar with Peet's coffee. They produce a modest-sized espresso with a thin ring of medium brown crema in a Nuova Point thick-walled brown cup. It has a decent aroma and a flavor of watered-down spices - reflecting the weak potency of the cup.
