|This mainstay restaurant is often so loud that you can't taste the food. Better if you make the trek for lunch. Big on the provincial French fare, and not cheap (nor shabby) on the wine list. For espresso, they have a two-group La Spaziale Super 3000 at the bar. With it, they produce an espresso with a medium brown crema that barely spots the surface of the coffee. It has a bit of the oak-roasted Mr. Espresso flavor, though it tastes more of cloves and thyme. Bodywise, it's more of a drip coffee style - although it isn't exactly 'watery' (as watery as espresso can be in SF) per se. Served at a lukewarm temperature with a sugar cube on the side.
