|Across Moscone West, this caf has two small metal sidewalk tables and chairs, several indoor tables, and some counter seating on stools at the front window. They serve espresso, sandwiches, and desserts. All things considered, the quality of the espresso here is somewhat unexpected. From a two-group Nuova Simonelli, they serve espresso with a darker brown, speckled crema of a decent thickness. It has a pungent herbal flavor of thyme and cloves. While it is not sweet, it has a deeper and more complex flavor than you would ever expect from America's Best Coffee beans. Served in a festive cup decorated with cows (and other odd designs).
