|This small outfit roasts twice weekly for this sole location, a sister to the nearby Pier Market Seafood Restaurant - also on Pier 39. As a tourist kiosk, you order inside and pick up at the window. They use a rare three-group La Pavoni, and with it they produce espresso with a light to medium brown crema that's thick enough to stick to sides of the short paper cup. They, like many places, brew direcrly into those small aluminum pitchers for some reason. It has an unusual aroma (not necessarily pleasant) and a decent roast flavor of milder spice, but there isn't a lot of flavor there to begin with.
