|Cramped, tight kiosk along a row of Market St. storefronts. Standing room only for two; no seating. Bagels, pastries, sandwiches, and coffee. The barista, who almost has to "wear" this photo booth of a caf, works with what she has. She produces an espresso with a medium layer of mottled, medium brown crema. Deep, dark color and a pleasant tarry flavor with some herbal elements. Their single is larger than a typical double espresso, but they manage to keep most of it together. They switched from a Rancilio to a two-group Promac and from Tully's Coffee to Bonavita in the past couple of years, but the results have been largely consistent.
