|Caf that depends heavily on B&B tourist traffic in the area, and it shows in its espresso quality and price. Colorful sponge-painted caf decorated with many color SF prints and checkerboard carpeting. Numerous indoor tables, with service that's really more like a restaurant. Owner/barista, Pat Darden, scores on hospitality but misses on quality. Espresso is served with a generous layer of medium-to-light brown crema, but it's downhill from there. Coffee grounds are suspended in the cup. Mediocre body with a weak, grainy flavor of wood and some spice (and little aroma).
