|Quiet creperie (and smoothies) in a gritty neighborhood that more recently took on serving espresso (formerly, Get Latte was at this location). A few small indoor caf tables painted like sliced fruit, brightly-colored walls, "lite rock" on the radio, and wireless Internet access. They leave the portafilter handles cooling in the drip tray, revealing their inexperience. Yet their espresso has a decent medium brown, mottled crema of some thickness. Thin-bodied and slightly bitter - the most dominant flavor is ashy. Silver-painted restroom gives you that locked-in-the-meat-freezer feel without the shivers.
