|Classic dark Peet's interior, joined to a more cartoonish San Francisco Soup Co. Entire seating consists of three stool seats at a rear counter. Dueling Faema E91 Diplomat machines, with one barista handling espresso and the other handling milk. Darker brown, even crema. Nutty flavor with some sweet and smoky tones. The flavor depth used to be a little more shallow than other Peet's, but in recent years it has improved to something solid (and one of the better Peet's in SF). Served in a Peet's logo demitasse & saucer; they don't have many "for here", and what they do serve in porcelain can sometimes be a touch sloppy (they don't seem used to pouring into much besides paper here: there's really no where to sit down). The space is tight; don't be surprised if the line snakes out the door onto the sidewalk.
