|Long-standing breakfast & lunch cafe in the North Point Center, facing Powell St. Plain interior with many dining tables can get hot on warm days with the open kitchen. Friendly owner (who's brother runs a caf by the same name at 101 Howard St.) makes espresso with a nameless machine (DP 10) that produces virtually no crema when combined with aging Peerless beans. Very much drip coffee, with a basic drip flavor of mild spice. Served in a glass mug that reveals the floating, particulate nature of their pour. Espresso by name only.
