Review
Ex-Sundance and the second installment of Glen Park's Cafe Bello has become Temo's Caf in the summer of 2014. It's pretty much the same space as before with the previous owners with more of a nod to its Latina ownership. Latin music plays the rhythm of the Mission. There's a half-dozen worn indoor caf tables with beat-up faux leather seats. Outside there's a table and bench along Harrison St. They roast their own with an on-site Fresh Roast carousel roaster, offering retail coffee in storage tubes (not the best storage devices). Using a three-group Mr. Espresso Faema, they pull shots directly into metal pitchers first (why must places do this?!) before pouring it into a non-descript ceramic serving cup. They place three roasted beans on the saucer for a more decorative presentation. It has a thinning medium brown, even crema. There's a bit of smoke and tobacco and little brightness to the cup: very much in a Martha & Bros style, that other area Latin roaster.
