|An odd merger of the culinary traditions of Mexico and Turkey surrounded by a lot of artwork made of recycled materials. This isn't your typical Mission Mexican - and that's a good thing here. There are two main rooms (the other at 3234 22nd Street): one dominated by the tight kitchen space and a few surrounding tables and a rear room with a bar and some booth seating. Odd patchwork decor of art projects made with commercial prints mixed with schlocky Asian art, newsprint wallpaper, fake flowers, mirrors. They offer Ritual Coffee by the press pot (regular & decaf), and there's a single-group Pasquini at the rear bar (next to a restroom that plays beach sounds from the floor). The resulting shot has a thinner, blondish crema. It's a bit sour, suggesting a lower brewing of a Central-American-heavy-based espresso blend. Otherwise the flavor has a mild pungency.
