|Located at the ground floor of an office building that's oddly closer to Battery St. than it is to Sansome St., this is a small office-worker coffee shop that's part of an ever-elusive tiny SF chain. The chain's name alone has made us avoid their tea for obvious reasons. Inside there are a couple of caf tables and a center counter area with a newer two-group La Spaziale machine. With it they pull shots with a thin, medium brown crema that breaks in the center. But the shot is modestly sized (in a paper cup, mind you), resulting in a potent body at least. Despite the ashy aroma, the flavor is more in the tobacco and smoke range. NaS has always picked different coffee roasters, and lately they've gone lowball cheap with Peerless.
