|Co-founder Chris opened this caf because he was dissatisfied with the local coffee chains. This kiosk a tiny hole-in-the-wall located in a building plaza/wind tunnel. There's just enough room to form a 4-person line inside plus a few outdoor metal patio tables just outside. They specialize in bagels and other food items, but they also have a shiny new two-group Faema machine behind the front door entrance. With it, they produce some pretty decent espresso: it has a richer, even, fresh-looking medium brown crema. It has the taste of some pepper and a little wood - it's a narrower flavor profile, but there's enough bean freshness in their Mr. Espresso coffee to make it worthwhile. Not to mention the equipment seems clean, tuned, and operated by trained people who care. This is the sort of pocket place that people love to rave about. It's good, but not THAT good.
