|Small, upscale caf at the base of Neiman Marcus serves up food and coffee at "Needless Markup" prices to shoppers hungry after retail therapy binges. While the caf looks very much the same as it did when it was called "NM on the Square", it removed its outdoor seating and replaced its coffee service with something much more pedestrian. Using a UNIC Phoenix Twin-B, they pull shots of Illy that are quite extensive. They serve doubles, for example, in a saucerless IPA coffee cup. The shot has an even, medium brown crema and, despite its pour size, has a decent body and a mellow Illy flavor of spice, herbs, and woodiness. Not bad, but it defines "Needless Markup".
