|Across gates 76B & 77A in SFO's Terminal 3 is this Emporio Rulli Gran Caff - complete with two long marble bars with stools and some caf table seating. Like their location in the International Terminal, they charge the same price as their regular cafs, but the standard is wholly different. (Though it is a sad statement when their menu lists their macchiato as "Italian Style: espresso shot with a dollop of steamed milk". As if there's any other legitimate way - thank you, Northwest Starbucks.) Using a two-group Faema E-91 Diplomat (formerly an Ambassador from Mr. Espresso), they pull espresso shots with a minimal light-to-medium brown crema. The shots are a touch larger than 1 1/2 oz., however, resulting in a shot that runs a bit watery and diluted. Flavorwise, it is a washed out combination of smokiness and an herbal base - served only in paper cups.
