|Located along a breezeway through the newer buildings along Napa's refashioned riverfront, this local gelato shop opened in Sept. 2002. They offer outdoor tables along the breezeway and a number of indoor café tables beneath signs for Umbria jazz festivals. The gelato is made in-house, but they also serve panini and espresso. They offer espresso as a "ristretto o longo", and they pull shots from a two-group Bravo machine with Illy beans. It has a very thin layer of medium brown crema: the coffee looks a little stale, and it smells and tastes like your basic Illy of mild spice and some woodiness. We wish they paid as much attention to the espresso as they do gelato. Served in Illy logo cups, with a doppio served in large cappuccino cups.
