|On the second and top floor of Bengaluru's popular Garuda Mall, this outlet of the popular Indian chain takes up a good chunk of the central mall floor real estate with a large space for leather seats and dark wood tabletops. Using a two-group La Cimbali at the rear counter, they pull large shots with a crema that can vary from very good looking to splotchy and sparse. It's typically a mixed medium brown with a somewhat smooth texture, albeit with some lighter heat spots. Regardless of the crema, the flavor can be off with a very narrow flavor profile of flat tobacco. Yet we've also had basic- but acceptable-flavored shots. Despite the erratic qualities, it's generally a worthy (albeit inconsistent) espresso for the area, especially since Caffè Pascucci moved. Served in Barista/Lavazza logo cups. Rs. 65 & Rs. 85 for a doppio (+ tax).
