|Busy French bistro pulls in both the well-dressed Bay Area tourists and the SoCal tourists in tracksuits. Good food but generally poor planning around seatings/reservations. Many tables: some long, shared tables in front, a room with a gas fireplace in back, and patio seating when the weather permits. All dressed up with provincial French decorations and themes. Using a two-group Laurentis at the bar, they serve a lukewarm espresso with a lighter brown, micro-thin lighter crema in an Illy designer cup. It has the classic Illy flavor of wood and spice. Despite being a French-themed restaurant and a questionable machine, they pull of a rather workmanlike effort for a restaurant. Average, but I expected worse.
