|Mohammad Hourian has been selling art from a Cow Hollow shop for 18 years before he opened this art caf near Union Square. They offer pastries, French music, and a lot of art pieces strewn about - with a heavy emphasis on Persian art. They are also heavy with their Equator Estates Coffee branding and sales, Using a black, two-group Promac, they pull espresso shots with a bare ring of light brown crema. While they are deliberate and thoughtful in the brewing process, they also pour into metal pitchers first. The resulting cup has an ashy flavor with some smokiness. Not a good offering.
