|This restaurant (Bar Norcini, ne Caff Kuleto's, is across the Florence Hotel entrance) is a rather large and fashionable enclave for fine Italian-styled dining (Italian marble floors, high ceilings, copper railings, and ... oooh, tablecloths!). Using a UNIC Twin Diva at the entrance bar, they pull an espresso with a modest layer of medium brown crema. It has the flavor of tobacco and thyme, so it reaches for something deeper than the generic 'Illy' flavor on the coffee spectrum. They use more traditional Illy designer IPA cups for milk-based drinks. Their milk frothing is quite dry, but the resulting coffee+milk mix works well. The 40-foot-long Brunswick bar itself is impressive - an English import that survived the 1906 earthquake while 'residing' at the Palace Hotel.
