|Fashionable, high-end, Asian-themed restaurant at the base of the St. Regis Hotel. Wait staff galore. Using a two-group Elektra Maxi in the kitchen, they pull shots with a very thin medium brown crema that shows some larger bubbles in it. It is watery and primarily tastes of a 'pleasant' ashiness (if that were possible) with elements of spice and tobacco. Served in delicate, thin-walled Villeroy & Boch cups with some grit at the bottom. To charge $5 for a doppio is bad enough. It's even worse when the expensive meal falls completely apart at the coffee.
