This kiosk beneath the shadow of Transamerica Pyramid is part of a small chain, and this is arguably its weakest link. Pre-packaged sandwiches and coffee with no seating other than the sidewalk table outside. They use a single-group super-automatic to produce an espresso that reminds me of the worst of today's home espresso machines: the paper cup is filled high with a mottled layer of light brown crema with white spots. It's also covered with large bubbles, making it look rather sickly. This is the runny eggs of espresso. Flavorwise, it's terribly watery - with the only hint of flavor being ashiness.
