Review
Quaint French café located in a scruffier part of town where quality espresso is hard to come by. French-accented staff serve coffee and light French fare with a few indoor & outdoor tables and benches. Attention to asthetics and coffee politics. In recent years, they replaced their two-group Elektra machine with a bizarre dual-group Azkoyen Bravo. Its result has a thin, pale-ish crema. it's an overly generous pour with a generally smooth, somewhat watered-down flavor of cloves and spice. In recent years they replaced their designer Illy IPA cups with classic brown Nuova Point cups. This is one place that, while still popular, the move-in of nearby Blue Bottle coincided with a dumbing down of their espresso.
