French restaurant with very good food & wine at moderate prices. The dining area resides upstairs in a house-like structure with a balcony. Airy, with ceiling fans. The owner, Raymond, is a complete oenophile, and he will generously pour you a variety of things without asking - that is, if he knows you're into wine. The partner/waiter/barista serves espresso from a two-group Conti Xeos (replacing their La San Marco). It comes with a wide-striped lighter and medium brown crema of modest thickness. The softer, sweeter, honey-like flavor here has since run more into the typical pepper and pungent spices, but it varies. Replaced their square Crate & Barrel cups with hardly much of an improvement.
