In an outdoor office park court among restaurants, corporate art, and fountains, this chain café serves the usual pastries, milkshakes, and occasional coffee drinks. Using a three-group La Marzocco Linea, they produce a somewhat thin pour. But it has a semi-decent, curious flavor of mild spice and pepper. Served hot. The body can run very thin when the barista du jour is pulling longs. The crema can be a flecked medium brown and yet still too thin. A single is often served in a paper cup, while the other half is discarded in glass (the shame!). They sometimes use a lone, saucerless Buffalo cup for "for here" doubles. If you order something large, like a cappuccino, they can produce a glass or ceramic mug to serve it in from the back of the store - and they'll even preheat it for you. Their milk frothing isn't too bad, although it's uneven, and they're a little sloppy on the presentation. The inconsistency is highly sensitive to labor: decent and poor baristas here seem to come and go often.
