North Beach bakery famous for their unique "Sacripantina," but their espresso has been no slouch. A few indoor and some outdoor cafe tables, but most patrons get baked goods to go. Simple but pleasant interior, with a ceiling painted sky-blue with clouds. They serve espresso from a two-group La Spaziale S3 (not the typical, cheaper Spazio you often find in the area) in Lavazza-branded cups. They used to serve Lavazza beans but have since switched to Mr. Espresso. While it no longer has as chocolatey a flavor, there are chocolate notes over a more pungent base with a touch of sweet tobacco. It's served with a somewhat congealed, medium brown crema that may seem a little thin in size, yet it persists throughout the cup. Rosa the barista runs the place during most daytime hours now. And don't overlook their Florentines.
