At the end of the South (A) gates of SFO's International terminal, and at the end of the G gates, this café takes up a corner with a flat panel TV at the bar and a three-(or four-)group Mr. Espresso-supplied Faema E91 Diplomat - too often with its portafilters left lying out cooling on the drip tray. However, quite miraculously, they can sometimes pull shots with a respectable layer of smoothly textured, medium brown crema with some large bubbles. At its best, it can have a well-rounded mellow flavor of spice and pepper suspended in a decent body. Served in short paper cups. While it can be decent in spite of their mishandling, they are very inconsistent: more often, the cups run ashy and with a narrow flavor profile - marked by a high brewing temperature - and the crema can run minimal. Sometimes it's practically overheated filter drip coffee - despite the proper instructions from Mr. Espresso on the side of the Faema. Milk-frothing is quite dodgy here in any case. Their rating is thus only as good as their last shot, which can vary from 2s and 3s to 6s.
