This elegant and expansive restaurant is accessible from inside the Westin Hotel - as well as a long pathway off the the side. The theme is Venice by way of California, and they offer ciccheti on the menu as well as a dining area adorned with large duplicate portraits of Battista Sforza and Federico da Montefeltro by Piero della Francesca. They have an extensive bar as you enter, and an even larger heated, partially shaded patio outside. They food is good, and the forks are faux gold, but the espresso is disappointingly a chain hotel version of Italy. Using a UNIC Phoenix Twin in the kitchen, they use pre-ground Illy beans to pull espresso shots with a large pour. It has a clumpy medium brown crema with larger bubbles and some bald spots. The flavor is a watery, dilute black pepper - unlike most Illy preparations. Criminally overpriced.
